HC Deb 20 February 1893 vol 8 cc1859-60
SIR G. OSBORNE MORGAN (Denbighshire, E.)

I had intended to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department upon what day he proposes to move for leave to bring in a Bill to prevent for a time new appointments to Church of England bishoprics, dignities, and benefices in Wales and Monmouthshire; but since I gave notice of the question the right hon. Gentleman has intimated that he will bring the Bill in on Thursday. May I, however, ask him whether, in the event of the Registration Bills not being brought in to-night, the Welsh Suspensory Bill will still be the first Order of the Day on Thursday?

MR. ASQUITH

I trust that that contingency will not arise. In any event, the Welsh Suspensory Bill will be the first Order of the Day for Thursday.
