§ MR. BARTLEYI beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any steps have yet been taken by the Treasury to carry out the Resolution of the House on the subject of granting pensions to teachers in elementary schools?
§ MR. ACLAND(who replied) said: The matter is under consideration by a Departmental Committee, but the subject is so complicated that they are not likely to report for some time. The Treasury cannot take any steps until a scheme has been decided upon.
