TREVELYANThe Report by Professor Strong has been published for the information of managers of schools and of others interested in this subject, to which my Lords have frequently called attention in their Annual Reports. The matter is one which must rest primarily with the Local Authorities; and in connection with the inspection of higher class schools and the Leaving Certificate examination, my Lords will study carefully the means by which, for their own part, they may encourage the teaching of modern languages.
