I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether a Departmental Committee of the Treasury has been fitting to inquire into the constitution and functions of the Charity and Endowed Schools Commissioners; and whether the Report made, and evidence taken, will be laid upon the Table?

It is not proposed to lay the Report upon the Table. The inquiry was limited to questions of Departmental organisation, and the Evidence was not printed.
