ARNOLD-FORSTER (Belfast, W.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will lay upon the Table of the House a Return giving the particulars of all cases of agrarian crime tried at the recent Assizes in Cork, Limerick, Clare, and Kerry, the Return to show the names of the persons committed for trial, the nature of the offence with which such persons were respectively charged, the place and date of such offence, and the result of the trial?
MR. J. MORLEYOn the 7th instant I stated, in reply to a question by the hon. Member for North Fermanagh, the number of cases of this kind tried at the Assizes referred to and the result of the trials. The detailed information for which the hon. Member asks, including the names, has already been published in the Press, and I certainly do not think any public advantage would be gained by granting the Return asked for.
