HC Deb 13 April 1893 vol 11 cc204-5
SIR FREDERICK DIXON-HARTLAND

I beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works what was the reason which led him to authorise the destruction of four fine young trees in the barrack yard at Hampton Court Palace, and thus opening more fully to view from the station side the troops stables of the Palace, and from the Palace side a row of buildings and shops?

THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS (Mr. SHAW-LEFEVRE,) Bradford, Central

I find, on inquiry, that the trees were not young, and that they were in a bad condition.
