HC Deb 07 April 1892 vol 3 c870
MR. J. E. ELLIS (Nottingham, Rushcliffe)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade when the following will be distributed—namely, Return by the Railway Companies to the Board of Trade, in pursuance of "The Railway Returns (Continuous Brakes) Act, 1878," for the year ending 31st December, 1891, and General Report to the Board of Trade upon Accidents during the year 1891?

* SIR M. HICKS BEACH

The Brakes Return is in the hands of the printer. The General Report to the Board of Trade on Accidents cannot be presented until later in the year, because the figures relating to passenger journeys cannot be prepared before the end of June, and, if the Report were presented now, these figures would have to be estimated, or the comparisons (which are useful) would have to be omitted.
