HC Deb 07 April 1892 vol 3 cc870-1
MR. PRITCHARD MORGAN

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what number of tons of ore have been treated at the Morgan and Clonga Gold Mines respectively, from the time they last commenced work up to the present time; what is the total value of gold which has been extracted from the ore of such mines respectively; are any other mines in the United Kingdom, other than those referred to, producing gold; how many licences and leases exist at the present time for working gold and silver in the United Kingdom besides the two referred to; how many of them are at work; and can any reason be ascribed why they are not all at work?

MR. GOSCHEN

For answers to the first and second questions I would refer the hon. Member to the Reports of the Directors of the two mines. As regards the third, fourth, and fifth questions, I must ask for longer notice. The sixth question is too controversial to be answered across the Table of the House.
