HC Deb 16 June 1891 vol 354 c540
MR. MORTON (Peterborough)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether it is his intention to open the new sorting office at St. Ann's Hill, Wandsworth, shortly; and whether he has yet come to any decision as to erecting a new Post and Telegraph Office on land in High Street, Wandsworth, as suggested by the Local Authorities?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. RAIKES,) Cambridge University

It is intended to open a new sorting office at St. Ann's Hill, Wandsworth, as soon as the necessary arrangements are completed, and it is hoped that this will be done before very long. No decision has yet been arrived at as to the erection of a new Post Office in High Street, Wandsworth, but inquiry is being made as to the terms upon which the site suggested could be obtained.
