HC Deb 11 June 1891 vol 354 cc158-9
MR. R. T. REID&c.) (Dumfries,

I beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works whether, in view of recent complaints as to the ventilation of this House, and especially the Committee Rooms, and in view of the fact that the Committee appointed in 1885 to report on the drainage and ventilation of the House was interrupted after the successful completion of the first half of its labours, he will reappoint a Committee to consider and report on the ventilation of the House?

THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS (Mr. PLUNKET,) Dublin University

The Government have no objection to the re-appointment of such a Committee as sat in 1885, and, as far as I am concerned, I shall be very much pleased to have the advantage of its recommendations.
