HC Deb 26 February 1891 vol 350 c1701
MR. J. ROWLANDS

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether the postal staffs of the offices in Edinburgh and Dublin are now on an equality, as regards pay, with the telegraphists of those offices; whether their official designation has been changed to that of "Sorting Clerks"; and will he state whether similar alterations are to be made in the London offices; and, if so, when?

MR. RAIKES

To the first and second questions of the hon. Member the answer is in the affirmative. In reply to the third question, I have to state that it is not in contemplation to make similar alterations in London.
