MR. LAWSON (St. Pancras, W.)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he intends to move for a Committee to inquire into the Conservancy of the Thames, in view of his assurance last Session?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE (Sir M. HICKS BEACH, Bristol, W.)

Proposals having been laid before Parliament dealing with the water supply of London, it is not now expedient to take the step suggested by the hon. Member.
