HC Deb 13 February 1891 vol 350 c613
MR. MORTON (Peterborough)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to the playing of "baccarat" at "Tranby Court," Doncaster; and whether he intends to take any steps to punish the offenders?

MR. MATTHEWS

I have no information on this subject beyond newspaper paragraphs. I am advised that it is not an offence against the Gaming Laws to play baccarat in a private house.
