§ MR. CUNINGHAME GRAHAMI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make inquiries into alleged breaches of the Factory Acts in the West Drayton and Tver brickfields, whereby men are compelled to work without meal hours?
§ MR. MATTHEWSI am informed by the Chief Inspector of Factories that no complaints have reached him. If the matter complained of relates to the employment of men only, it would not be within the scope of the Factory Act, which in no way interferes with the labour of men, and their hours of meals.
