HC Deb 18 March 1890 vol 342 c1139
MR. LABOUCHERE

In the absence of my hon. Friend the Member for North-West Lanark, I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can now state what he intends doing in the case of the man convicted of robbery from a public house in the east of London about a month ago, which case he has had under his consideration for some time owing to the alleged perjury of some of the witnesses?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. MATTHEWS,) Birmingham, E.

The case is under the consideration of the Home Office, and I have thought it advisable to ask the advice of one of Her Majesty's Judges. No decision has yet been arrived at.
