HC Deb 19 June 1890 vol 345 c1375
MR. JUSTIN M'CARTHY (Londonderry)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Report of the Departmental Committee inquiring into the complaints of clerks serving in Her Majesty's Prisons, which, on the 5th instant, was promised "in a few days," is now in the hands of the Commissioners of Prisons, and if they have been instructed to communicate it to the clerks in question?

MR. MATTHEWS

I have only to-day received the Report in question. Until I have had time to consider it, and to confer with the Commissioners with regard to it, I am not in a position to say when or in what manner any communication on the subject will be made to the Prison clerks.
