THOMAS ELLIS (Merionethshire)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he will direct a statement to be prepared and published, similar to the statement on the distribution of the Probate Duty Grant (Parliamentary Paper, C. 5475, Session 1888), showing approximately what share of the residue of Local Taxation (Customs and Excise) Duties will accrue to the county funds and county borough funds of the various counties of England, and of Wales and Monmouth?

Gentleman would be satisfied to take a statement showing the amount to be received by each county, inclusive of the county boroughs, I shall be happy to prepare and distribute it. It is not possible, until the final adjustments have been made between counties and county boroughs, to say what will be the distribution as between them.
