HC Deb 10 July 1890 vol 346 cc1296-7
MR. PHILIPPS (Lanark, Mid)

I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether his attention has been called to the fact that, in the case of two men, named Edward Marshall and Charles M'Gill, convicted of killing one rabbit at Mary-hill, near Glasgow, Sheriff Balfour has imposed a penalty upon each of them of £5 or 14 days' imprisonment; and whether he will obtain some mitigation of this sentence?

*MR. J. P. B. ROBERTSON

I have no knowledge of the case referred to in this question. If mitigation of the sentence is desired the proper course is to make a representation for the consideration of the Secretary for Scotland.
