HC Deb 08 August 1890 vol 348 c259
MR. HENNIKER HEATON

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received from the Governor of Queensland Reports, dated 18th April, 13th May, and 19th May, on the question of the separation of Northern Queensland; whether he has any objection to lay these and other documents bearing on the question upon the Table of the House; and whether the Secretary of State has decided to take any step to meet the wishes of the people of Northern Queensland?

BARON H. DE WORMS

The Secretary of State has received despatches on this subject from the Governor, and papers will in due course be presented to Parliament; but the matter is not yet ripe for decision.
