HC Deb 27 November 1888 vol 331 cc312-3
MR. BUCHANAN (Edinburgh, W.)

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, When the Bill for the distribution of the Probate Duty in Scotland will be introduced?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. GOSCHEN) (St. George's, Hanover Square)

, in reply, said, there would be a joint Bill for the distribution of the Probate Duty in Scotland and Ireland. The delay in circulating the Bill was due to the extreme care being taken to secure a just distribution.

MR. BUCHANAN

asked if the Bill would be introduced next week?

MR. GOSCHEN

I hope so; but I cannot pledge myself to a day.
