HC Deb 27 November 1888 vol 331 c319
MR. CAUSTON (Southwark, W.)

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, If, on consideration of the many representations made to him on behalf of Alfred Goodman, he is able to recommend to Her Majesty any mitigation of the sentence passed on him in connection with a recent meeting at Clerkenwell Green?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)

Alfred Goodman was discharged from prison this morning, Her Majesty having been pleased to remit that portion of his sentence which required him to find sureties.
