HC Deb 08 November 1888 vol 330 cc642-3
MR. HENNIKER HEATON (Canterbury)

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether any Correspondence has passed between the Foreign Office and the Chinese Govern- ment on the question of Chinese immigration to Australia; if so, whether he is in a position to lay such Correspondence upon the Table?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) (Manchester, N.E.)

Such Correspondence has been published by the Colonial Office in a Blue Book headed Australasia. I do not think that the later Correspondence is sufficiently advanced to render a further publication desirable.
