TUITE (Westmeath, N.)asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If he can now state the date on which the Sub-Commissioners will hold their next sitting for the County of Westmeath, and the names of the gentlemen who will constitute the Commission; and, whether, having regard to the large number of fair rent applications remaining undisposed of, an early date will be fixed?
§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)The Land Commissioners inform me that a Sub- 1552 Commission sat in the County Westmeath so recently as February and March last. Having regard to the claims of other counties, they are not at present in a position to state when the next sitting will be held.
