§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)I am not aware that any question has arisen with regard to prison labour generally which demands investigation. I am not, therefore, disposed to consent to the appointment of a Select Committtee, especially at this period of the Session.
