§ MR. JAMES STUART (Shoreditch, Hoxton)asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he can inform the House when the Report of the Commissioners under the City of London Parochial Charities Act (46 & 47 Vict. c. 36) will be issued; and what is the amount of money to be dealt with under the heads (a) and (b) respectively of Clause 13 of that Act?
§ MR. J. W. LOWTHER (Cumberland, Penrith)(who replied) said, the Report would be presented to Her Majesty in the usual course very shortly. If the hon. Member referred to the statements to be published by the Charity Commissioners under the said Act, he had to say that the last of the statements relating to parishes in the first Schedule was published on the 13th of May, 1887, and that the statements relating to parishes in the second Schedule were published on the 1st of October, 1887. He was unable to give the hon. Member information as to the amount of money to be dealt with under Clauses 13 and 14 of the Act, as many questions were still pending relating to the amount of the compensation to be given and temporary provisions to be made under the Act, which made it impossible to determine the total amount 1005 available for each parish, under section 13 of the Act.
