§ THE UNDER SECRETAEY OF STATE (Sir JOHN GORST) (Chatham)There is no Service Rule regulating the retirement of the present Director General of the Indo-European Telegraph Department. On the 24th of January last it was settled that he should retire on the 15th of February, which he has accordingly done.
