asked the hon. Member for Walsall, as Chairman of the Committee on Public Petitions, Whether the Committee intend to take any steps, beyond reporting the matter in their Seventeenth Report, with regard to four Petitions against Sunday closing, purporting to be signed by upwards of 37,000 persons, but concerning which the Committee report that, in their opinion, many of the names are in the same handwriting, and that the Orders of the House have not been complied with?
