§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) (Manchester, N.E.)(who replied) said: The Secretary of State has been informed that the question of the Contagious Diseases Acts is being inquired into separately in the Home Department of the Government of India. A Report is expected, but has not yet arrived. If it should not arrive by the next mail, the Secretary of State will cause a telegraphic communication to be made to the Government of India.
