asked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether he has yet received any reply to his communications addressed to the Government of India with respect to the Contagious Diseases Acts in that country?

(who replied) said: The Secretary of State has been informed that the question of the Contagious Diseases Acts is being inquired into separately in the Home Department of the Government of India. A Report is expected, but has not yet arrived. If it should not arrive by the next mail, the Secretary of State will cause a telegraphic communication to be made to the Government of India.
