HC Deb 05 April 1888 vol 324 c460
MR. CHANNING (Northampton, E.)

said, that, if not premature, he should like to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether the revision of valuation would be dealt with as a separate Bill apart from the Local Government Bill; and, if so, whether the Government would be prepared to introduce a Bill for the revision of valuation, and to put it on a more simple basis during the present Session?

THE FIRST LORD (Mr. W. H. SMITH) (Strand, Westminster)

, in reply, said, it was usual to give Notice of the kind of Question asked by the hon. Member; but probably he was unacquainted with the practice. It was not possible for him to give any undertaking of the kind.
