HC Deb 14 March 1887 vol 312 c177
MR. W. J. CORBET (Wicklow, E.)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he is aware that a great many tenants in the County Wicklow are anxious to get their rents fixed under the Land Act; and, whether anything can he done to expedite the matter by sending a Sub-Commission to the county speedily to hear their cases?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)

I understand from the Land Commissioners that about 56 cases from Wicklow are pending, and they expect that a Sub-Commission will sit in that county about July. I may add that the Government have at present before them the question of increasing the number of Sub-Commissions.
