BYRNE (Wicklow, W.)asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, The cause of the delay of the Sub-Commissioners of the Land Court holding a sitting in the County Wicklow; and, whether they are likely to hold one soon, as any further delay will cause great hardship to a large number of tenants who have been kept so long waiting to have fair rents fixed?
§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.), in reply, said, that no unusual or unavoidable delay had occurred in the hearing of land cases in Wicklow. The Sub-Commissioners sat in Wicklow in the September of every year since 1884, and would sit there again next September.
