§ MR. W. REDMOND (Fermanagh, N.)
asked the Under Secretary of State 924 for India, Whether he will state the nature of the work upon which Colonel Pawlett and Captain Sark are engaged in Marwar; and, whether it is true that they have interfered with the property of the Thakur Sahib of Anwa.; and if so, what are the reasons for such interference?
§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE (Sir JOHN GORST) (Chatham)
In consequence of a Question put to me by the hon. Member for Flintshire (Mr. S. Smith) on July 4, the Government directed a despatch to be sent inquiring about recent occurrences in Marwar. Until a reply is received, I am afraid I can give no information.
