§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)Under the circumstances mentioned, Major Crofton has, by statute, become disqualified from acting as a magistrate; and, consequently, his name will not be retained in the Commission of the Peace. The usual notice has been sent to him by the Lord Chancellor.
