asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, Whether the proposed transfer of authority in the matter of salmon and freshwater fisheries from the Home Office to the Board of Trade will in any way affect the status and authority of Boards of Conservators in England?

(who replied) said: No, Sir; the proposed transfer of authority in the matter of salmon and freshwater fisheries from the Home Office to the Board of Trade will not in any way affect the status and authority of Boards of Conservators in England.

asked whether the Committee stage could be postponed until after Whitsuntide?

replied in the negative. It was important that the transfer should take place as quickly as possible.
