HC Deb 04 March 1886 vol 302 c1902
MR. BRUCE

asked the Secretary for Scotland, Whether, in view of the intended reforms in Local Government, he will direct his attention to remedying the defects in form and completeness of the annual Local Taxation Returns for Scotland, and especially take care that these Returns shall hereafter give a complete statement of all local loans?

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. TREVELYAN)

I am much obliged to my hon. Friend for calling my attention to what he regards as defects in the Local Taxation Returns, and I at once corresponded with the Board of Supervision on the subject. I cordially agree in the immense importance of having loans and repayments most clearly stated.
