who had given Notice to ask the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether it is his intention, or of any responsible Minister of the Crown in the House of Commons, to pay any verbal tribute of honour to the memory of General Gordon? said, that after the eloquent, but rather tardy, tribute paid by the Prime Minister the previous night to the memory of General Gordon, he would not put the Question.
