HC Deb 11 August 1885 vol 300 c1730
MR. O'BRIEN

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he is yet in a position to name the Assistant Revising Barristers about to be appointed under the new Registration Act in Ireland?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Sir WILLIAM HART DYKE)

I understand that certain gentlemen have been communicated with; but I am not yet able to name them. The list will probably be published in a few days.

MR. O'BRIEN

Will they be announced before the rising of Parliament?

MR. HEALY

Is the right hon. Baronet aware that he promised me that an opportunity would be given for discussing these names before Parliament was over?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY

I will communicate the list of names as soon as possible.
