§ SIR WILLIAM HARCOURTWe are in communication with the Local Authorities in the county of Inverness as to what measures are necessary in order to protect the police from any attacks made upon them in the execution of their duty. These communications are not yet complete. When they 1114 are so, I shall have no objection to lay them on the Table of the House.
