HC Deb 06 March 1884 vol 285 c671
SIR WILFRID LAWSON

asked the permission of the House to make a personal explanation. On Monday last he put a Question in which ho made allusion to the slaughter of 500 of the Mahdi's troops by Slaten Bey, and at the same time he introduced the name of Mr. Frank Lupton, whom he imagined was connected with Slaten Bey. He had since found that Mr. Lupton was in no way responsible, and he hastened to make this explanation.
