MR. GLADSTONE

said, that the second reading of the Contagious Diseases (Animals) Bill was unfortunately blocked, and he had not heard whether the suggestion he had ventured to make in the general interest could be complied with or not. He could not say whether the second reading would be taken to-night; and with regard to the further stages, he could not make any answer.
