asked the Secretary to the Admiralty, If his attention has been drawn to the collision which occurred at Plymouth on Sunday June 8th, when H. M. S. Vivid cut down a pleasure-boat in the Hamoaze, causing a loss of two lives; and, whether an official inquiry is intended to ascertain if any one is responsible for this disaster?

, in reply, said, that on receiving the report of this lamentable occurrence the Board of Admiralty ordered a court martial to be held upon the officer who was in command of the Vivid at the time.
