HC Deb 28 April 1884 vol 287 cc747-8
SIR BALDWYN LEIGHTON

asked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether the subject of Hoods Prevention is dealt with in the County Government Bill, which he stated was prepared; and, whether he would have any objection to lay it upon the Table, so that it may be well considered in the Country?

SIR CHAELES W. DILKE

The Local Government Bill, as at present drawn, does not deal with the subject referred to by the hon. Baronet. It was contemplated that that question would be dealt with in a separate Bill. It is not deemed desirable to introduce the Local Government Bill until there is some probability of its receiving the attention of Parliament.
