HC Deb 28 April 1884 vol 287 c748
MR. O'SULLIVAN

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether it is a fact that the Government are going to close their Excise Bonding Warehouse, Henry Street, Limerick, against the public, and hand it over for the exclusive use of one distiller in that city; and, if so, what warehouse they will substitute in place of it for the general body of traders in that district?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

No, Sir; a proposal on the subject of the Excise bonding warehouse in Henry Street, Limerick, which is not the property of the Government, but is in a very bad state of repair, has been made to the Board of Inland Revenue, and is under their consideration. There are two sides to the question, and the matter will not be decided hastily.
