C.; if so, why the Writ for Southampton has not been moved; and, whether the delay is owing to the fact that there is no Liberal candidate in the field?
§ LORD RICHARD GROSVENORIn reply, Sir, to the Question of the noble Lord, I have simply to say that I have not been officially informed of the fact that Mr. Butt has accepted that office. When it has been brought to my knowledge officially that such is the case, I shall at once move the Writ, without waiting for any such contingency as that indicated by the noble Lord.
