MR. SHAW (for Colonel COLTHURST)asked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether he proposes 1727 to introduce a measure dealing with Poor Removal on the lines recommended by the Committee of 1879; and, what action, does he propose to take with reference to the Bill now before the House?

DILKE, in reply, said, that as regarded the first part of the Question, the Government could not undertake, having regard to the state of Public Business, to introduce a Bill this Session; and with regard to the Bill on the subject now before the House he thought the Government could more appropriately state their intentions on the subject on the second reading of that Bill?
