§ MAJOR CURZONasked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether the Resident at Khota, in Rajpootana, did adjudicate upon a civil case, touching personal property of the value of £30,000 or thereabouts, in favour of one Chotalal Tribhonandass; whether the said case was subsequently tried by a Native Court, and the judgment of the Resident at Khota reversed; whether Mr. Kavanagh, counsel for Chotalal Tribhonandass, petitioned the Indian Government to have the case heard on appeal by an English Court; and, whether the Resident at Khota is still in 37 possession of the property, and that the Government of India has declined to interfere in the matter?
