HC Deb 09 April 1883 vol 277 c1831

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he will assent to a Motion for a Return of agreements between landlord and tenant in Ireland, made out of court, and lodged in court, from the beginning of the operations of the Irish Land Commission up to the end of last month, such Return to be in the form given from time to time in the official "Dublin Gazette?"

Sir, there is no objection, on the part of the Irish Government or of the Land Commission, to the granting of such a Return; but the expense of printing it as a Parliamentary Return would be considerable, and it is possible that objection might be made on this account, as the information is quite easily available already. The Return is published from time to time in The Dublin Gazelle, and the Land Commissioners inform mo that copies for each month can be supplied from their office. If the hon. Member orders a supply he will get it.
