HC Deb 09 April 1883 vol 277 c1819
MR. BUCHANAN

asked the First Commissioner of Works, Why the £5,000 voted last year as an instalment for the completion of the Industrial Museum in Edinburgh has not been expended, and why the works have not yet been begun?

MR. SHAW LEFEVRE

, in reply, said, plans were prepared last year by the Department over which he presided for the completion of the Edinburgh Museum. Those plans were referred to the Education Department; but he believed differences of opinion had arisen between the Department and the local authorities in Edinburgh; those differences had not yet been settled. In the meantime, the Vote would be included in the Estimates.
