MR. BIGGAR (for Mr. HEALY)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether Mr. William Fenix has been confined in Clonmel Gaol since the 28th November last; whether the district where he comes from, Causeway, county Kerry, is now peaceable; and, if he can see his way to recommend his discharge?

Sir, Mr. William Fenix has been discharged.

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, What decision has been come to as to the detention of Mr. Thomas Brennan, secretary to the Land League, now twelve months in gaol?

Sir, within the past week His Excellency has inquired into Mr. Brennan's case, and decided that he could not at present order his release.
