HC Deb 24 May 1882 vol 269 c1534
SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTE

Perhaps the right hon. Gentleman the Prime Minister can now state what are the prospects with reference to the Whitsuntide Holidays?

MR. GLADSTONE

I do not wonder, Sir, at the Question of the right hon. Gentleman; but I would ask the indulgence of the House a little longer. I will endeavour to form the best judgment I can, and make a statement on the subject to-morrow.
